Soft Robotics for treatment
and monitoring

GlovETA offers a comprehensive solution for the treatment and monitoring of hand pathologies and dysfunctions. Therapy is delivered via a pneumatic soft robotic exoskeleton that enables active flexion and extension of the fingers. Rehabilitation progress is monitored through electromyographic (EMG) analysis of the forearm and assessment of fingers range of motion. A dedicated monitor facilitates the setup of personalized rehabilitation plans, visualizes exercise execution, and displays rehabilitation outcomes.

Portability

GlovETA works in both clinical settings and home environments, thanks to its standalone exoskeleton unit

Treatment and monitoring

Not just treatment. Not just monitoring. GlovETA delivers both, combining robotic and sensing technologies.

Soft robotic

GlovETA features active textiles engineered to conform to the anatomy of human fingers.

Soft robotics,
safe rehabilitation.

GlovETA is a fully soft robotic glove constructed from textile materials and powered by a portable and proprietary pneumatic control unit. Unlike rigid exoskeleton, it uses compliant materials that enhance patient safety during treatment. What sets GlovETA apart is also its ability to deliver robotic-assisted therapy while simultaneously enabling sensor-based assessment of rehabilitation outcomes. It is available in two versions: one designed for clinical use and one optimized for home-based therapy.

How do physicians benefit?

Patients experience safer, more comfortable rehabilitation through the use of soft, compliant materials that minimize the risk of injury. GlovETA offers effective therapy in both clinical environments and the comfort of home

Features and materials

The rehabilitative glove is made entirely of textile material, specifically single-coated TPU nylon. The two parts—upper and lower—are manufactured separately and connected using clips. Actuation is achieved through compressed air. When actuated, the lower part enables rehabilitation of extension movements, while the upper part enables rehabilitation of flexion movements. The upper part can be adjusted over the lower one to create ridges of varying heights. The base of each ridge, being positioned at the midpoint of the link connecting each joint of the hand, straddles each joint of every finger. This allows for a high degree of customization, ensuring the desired level of flexion for different types of users.
