Born from research, driven by technology transfer

Engineers, designers and medical experts, born from the research ecosystem of University of Naples Federico II. Deep technical expertise – ranging from hardware and software to biomedical engineering – with a strong focus on human-centered design.

Inspired by the Greek letter η (ETA), a symbol of efficiency in engineering, ETA Bioengineering is born with the mission to measure and enhance the “efficiency” of humans, with regards their biomechanics and movements. The company originates from a research group at University of Naples Federico II active in product design and development, robotics and biomechanics.

Funded in 2020, ETA Bioengineering established its operative headquarter at ERGOS, the laboratory of ERGOnomics and Shape within the Center for Advanced Metrological and Technological Services (CeSMA) at University of Naples Federico II. Grounded in interdisciplinary research and user-centered design, ETA collaborates with both academic and industrial partners to develop next-gen wearable systems that enhance human performance in daily life, rehabilitation, sports, and occupational settings.

ETA wins the Myllennium Award in the category MySPORT

2021

Teodorico Caporaso wins the “Premio CONI Leonardo 2021” with its PhD Thesis related to IART, the Inertial Assistant Referee and Trainer for race-walking, the first product of ETA Bioengineering
ETA opens its operative headquarter at ERGOS-CESMA, University of Naples Federico II
ETA submits its first 3 patents to the UIBM

ETA is exhibitor at Innovation Village 2022
ETA submits its first 2 international patent applications
